Meet the NLPSG team
-
I’m the Co-Founder and Chairperson of Northern Lights Parkinson’s Support Group. With a background in construction management, I use my leadership and organisational experience to help guide our charity and support our dedicated team. I’m passionate about building a strong future for Northern Lights and making a lasting difference within the Parkinson’s community.
-
My journey with NLPSG began in 2021, when John Roche approached me while I was working at Liverpool County FA to help establish a walking football session for people living with Parkinson’s. What started with football quickly became a real passion and purpose, giving me the opportunity to support and make a difference to people across the Parkinson’s community. That journey inspired me to change direction in my career and follow what I truly believe is my calling — helping people with Parkinson’s live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.
-
I’m a Trustee and Treasurer of Northern Lights Parkinson’s Support Group. I’m passionate about helping our charity continue to grow and provide meaningful support to our community. For me, Northern Lights is about supporting not only people living with Parkinson’s, but also their partners, carers and families.
-
I’m a Trustee and a member of the Northern Lights football committee. I live with Parkinson’s myself and have discovered that there are still so many things I can achieve and enjoy. Northern Lights has brought friendship, confidence and new opportunities into my life, and I’m determined not to let Parkinson’s define me.
-
I’m a retired midwife with 30 years’ experience in clinical practice. Since my husband Steve was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, I’ve gained a personal understanding of the challenges faced by people living with the condition and their families. I’m passionate about using my experience to support our Northern Lights community.
-
I’m a Trustee of Northern Lights Parkinson’s Support Group, and my husband has lived with Parkinson’s for many years. I’ve seen first-hand the positive difference that friendship, support and being part of a community can make. I’m passionate about supporting our members and their families in any way I can.
